Anti-Wrinkle Injections (Botox©)
Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections block certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract - causing wrinkles.
Botox is most widely used and known for its amazing anti-aging effect on wrinkles. It takes years off your face, which is the first thing people see when they meet you. With a few anti-wrinkle injections, you can temporarily fight mother nature’s effect on the aging process and get back to feeling attractive again.
It is also used in younger age groups to help prevent the build up of wrinkles over time ultimately causing less aging to the skin in the long term.
It is a cost-friendly and non-invasive alternative to a surgical procedure. Anti-wrinkle injections are generally used to target these cosmetic challenges:
Common & Normal Side Effects
Bruising — For the majority of patients, the area of injection will appear no different. For a small minority, some minor bruising may occur.
Bumps — A few minutes after treatment small bumps may be visible on the skin. These will disappear very quickly.
Headache — True BOTOX® allergies are exceedingly rare. Temporary headache is the most commonly reported symptom following anti-ageing injectables, though the numbers of patients who report headaches is very small compared with the number of treatments performed. Any headache can be treated with usual painkillers.
Aftercare
Prescription Cost.
As botulin toxin is a prescription drug it has to be legally prescribed for each individual based on a client consultation by a GP Prescriber. A payment of £35 prior to your first appointment is required to pay for your individual prescription provided by my linked GP. This last for up to 12months. Thereafter a renewal will cost £25.
