PDO Threads Barbed and Plumping
A PDO thread lift is a revolutionary new treatment in the world of aesthetics, but PDO threads themselves have been used safely for decades for various applications, like treating gynaecological disorders or suturing incisions after medical procedures. When used as an aesthetic treatment, there are a few things you should know.
First, it mechanically results in instant skin lifting. Second, it contracts fat tissue to result in instant skin tightening. Third, it promotes collagen production to renew your skin at the cellular level. All of this works together to give you enhanced skin texture, fewer fine lines and wrinkles and more elastic skin.
PDO Barbed/Anchor Threads - these are threads with tiny barbs like fish hooks that once inserted under the skin and drawn tightly hook onto the skin structure to provide the "lift" required.
PDO Mono Threads - these are much smaller than "lifting" threads and once inserted into the skin the mono threads activate collagen synthesis to gradually tighten and rejuvenate. The improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be seen gradually over a few weeks as the procedure stimulates natural collagen production leaving skin plump and full.
A combination of barbed and mono threads will give amazing results that will last between 6-12 months.
Because a PDO thread lift is so versatile, it can treat virtually any area of the face. These include the:
Common and Normal side Effects
Recovery from a PDO thread lift is minimal. You may have some swelling and bruising for the first 24 to 48 hours but you can return to most of your daily routines right away. You should avoid rubbing your face as much as possible the week after your procedure to avoid accidently dislodging the thread.
